Online meeting

The OA2020 Working Group on ESAC Resources Update and Development has delivered its first major outcome: the ESAC Registry was relaunched with expanded scope, enhanced functionality, and richer, more strategically relevant data.

In this focus session, Jack Hyland, Manager of IReL and lead of the working group’s package dedicated to updating the Registry, presented the platform’s evolution to better reflect the changing landscape of open access publishing agreements.

The session included a guided walk-through and live demonstration of entering an agreement into the Registry, highlighting how shared, structured data supports comparability, transparency, and stronger negotiation practices.

Designed for negotiators, consortia leads, and institutions, the session underscores why even partial data contributions meaningfully strengthen collective understanding of the global OA agreement landscape.
